Storm Drainage
Following various papers and public submissions in 2023 and 2024 - the authorities, namely the EIA Committee under the Governor, along with the local OrBorTor - now stipulate that all new developers need to build into their overall plan an integrated and capable storm water drainage system.
This system then needs to be linked to the overall area storm water drains, streams and lakes to ensure an improved and safe water drainage system operates for the Layan Area.
The advocacy and genesis for this was the initial submission and later engagement undertaken by Roland Bleszynski - our civil engineering and building regulations consultant.

Beach Improvement Plan - Layan Beach Park
This development is being actively planned along with the necessary financing by some of the more progressive and eco-friendly developers directly fronting the Layan Beach area.
Starting from 20th May 2025 the beach is set for improvements with derelict buildings removed, new footpaths installed, roads widened and car parking properly installed.
